Jan Cushman is a native of South Carolina, born in Aiken County. She grew up in Graniteville where she married Jim Cushman, her high school sweetheart just 56 short years ago. Personally trained and mentored by Mary Kay Ash, Jan enjoyed 47 years leading, teaching and coaching women in Mary Kay Inc. Jan has also received training with internationally respected authors, motivational speakers and teachers, including the late Zig Ziglar. In 2012 Jan became a certified member of The John Maxwell Team as a Leadership Coach, Teacher & Speaker. These years of training and building a successful business organization have prepared her for such a time as this.

In addition to her professional career Jan has been blessed to serve the Lord in many capacities in churches across the United States and abroad as she followed her husband, Jim, in his 26-year United States Air Force Career. She and Jim are faithful attendees of Old Lexington Baptist Church in Leesville, South Carolina where Jim serves as Deacon & Treasurer while Jan serves as the Director of Discipleship Training.
In 2019 Jan & Jim were both diagnosed with cancer. With great doctors, successful treatment, many many prayers and our gracious Great Physician Jesus Christ, Jan is cancer-free, and Jim is in total remission. With this mountain behind them, they are looking to the future with great expectation and anticipation always trusting their Lord Jesus. Today they celebrate life more than ever.
As a wife, mother, and grandmother, Jan experiences the many challenges as well as all the wonderful joys of life. Their precious baby girl Jayme came into their lives in April of 1977 at barely a month old. They've been blessed all these years to have her in their lives.

Then, on December 13, 2011, Jan & Jim adopted their three grandchildren (at 10, 7 & 2). They are 22, 20 & 15 now! Jan & Jim feel so blessed to have this opportunity to impact the lives of these precious children.
Jan knows that God has been preparing her for many years to reach out to women in their walk with the Lord. Her passion is for Speaking to, Coaching and Teaching women. Her goal is to show them how to keep God first as they care for their family and successfully pursue their dreams while meeting the challenges of life. Then they will become women of excellence for His Glory. This is one of the driving forces in Jan’s decision to begin JC Associate Ministry.
